Penza, 15 November 2017. PenzaNews. The authorities of the Penza region do not fully realize that the future belongs to the youth. Such an opinion was expressed by the ex-deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the region Dmitry Semin, who had been the youngest deputy in the regional parliament of the fifth convocation.

"Today, in Kremlin, President Vladimir Putin has awarded [the first deputy research adviser for advanced studies of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Russian Federal Nuclear Centre – Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics] Yuri Trutnev. I would like to draw special attention to the words that Yuri Alexeevich said to the president. He said that these are young people who create thermonuclear developments. Only best young people are selected and form a team. The youth, especially leaders, must be supported. After such words, perhaps there is a necessity to ask all political leaders, especially those in regions. Why do you not hear or do not want to hear smart people who understand that the future belongs to the youth?!" Dmitry Semin wrote on his profile on the social network VKontakte.

The ex-deputy explained that previously when somebody had told him that the youth was not in demand as workforce he had supported the governor and other officials calling for action, persistence and activity.

"But as a result when I devoted so many years of my young life to the sphere of youth politics, was eager to grow and develop further, to develop the region and the state, the thing I have already mentioned happened to me – the authorities do not need the youth yet. Especially in our region," he noted.

"So Ivan Alexandrovich [Belozertsev, governor of the Penza region] and many representatives of the authorities, unless you start to think about human resources of the region, we will face even more serious socio-economic problems in the region because it is impossible to survive only on investments, excises and shopping centres," Dmitry Semin added supplementing the message with photographs of Vladimir Putin, Yuri Trutnev, and Ivan Belozertsev.

As it was reported before, Dmitry Semin started his career in the regional headquarters of the Russian public organization the Young Guard of United Russia.

In 2012-2014 he was a chairman of the youth government of the Penza region.

In October 2015 at the age of 25 he received a deputy's seat in the Legislative Assembly of the fifth convocation, which was vacated because Victor Kondrashin, who occupied the position of Senator, stepped down.
