Penza, 7 December 2017. PenzaNews. In modern Russia, there is no personality comparable to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. Such an opinion was expressed by the Penza region governor Ivan Belozertsev commenting on the Head of State's decision to participate in the forthcoming election.

"In the current complicated foreign policy situation and internal problems of economic development, only such a person can become a leader who has a great experience in effective governance and an absolute trust of citizens. Nowadays there is no personality in our country comparable to Putin," the region head noted.

Ivan Belozertsev expressed confidence that any other manager with no such support may lead the country to split.

"It probably benefits western countries, but not Russia. I know that my opinion is shared by the vast majority of resident of the Penza region," the press service of the regional government quotes Ivan Belozertsev.

As it was reported before, on Wednesday, December 6, during a visit to the Gorky Automobile Factory Vladimir Putin announced that he will stand as a candidate for the post of the President of Russia.
