Oleg Melnichenko becomes member of council under President of Russian Federation on multicultural relations
Moscow, 5 January 2018. PenzaNews. The senator from Penza region Oleg Melnichenko is included in the council under the President of Russia on multicultural relations. The corresponding decree of the head of state Vladimir Putin was published on the official portal of legal information.

"To make changes to the council under President of the Russian Federation on multicultural relations [...] including Oleg Melnichenko, chairman of the committee of the Federation Council on Federative Structure, Regional Politics, Local Self-Government and Affairs of the North (by agreement) and excluding Dmitry Igorevich Azarov [acting governor of the Samara region]," the text of the document reads.
The decree of 1 January came into force on the date of its signing.
As it was reported before, the senator of the Penza region Oleg Melnichenko was appointed head of the Federation Council Committee for Federative Structure, Regional Politics, Local Self-Government and Affairs of the North on October 25, 2017.
On December 23, he became a member of the Presidium of the General Council of United Russia.
On December 25, Oleg Melnichenko was elected chairman of the All-Russian Council of Local Self-government (ACLS).
