Penza, 10 January 2018. PenzaNews. A court fine in the amount of 20,000 roubles was imposed on a member of the precinct election commission in the village of Srednyaya Elyuzan of the Gorodishchensky area of the Penza region on the results of the criminal case initiated under Article 142.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Falsification of Election Results".

"On September 10, 2017, when holding elections to the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region of the sixth convocation, and to the meeting of representatives of the Gorodishchensky area of the fourth convocation a member of the precinct election commission in the village of Srednyaya Elyuzan rigged voting results by forging the signatures of two voters in respective lists and making necessary notes in ballots issued in their names," the acting senior assistant of the head of the regional investigative department for media relations under the Investigative Committee of Russia Natalia Fomina commented to PenzaNews.

She noted that during the investigation, the woman born 1983 had fully pleaded guilty.

"An application to terminate the criminal case and to appoint a penal sanction in the form of a court fine was received from her," the interlocutor explained.

Natalia Fomina added that the application had been satisfied and the court's decision had entered into legal force.

According to the card file of the Gorodishchensky district court, the case under Art. 142.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Falsification of Election Results" was considered in relation to G.M. Kozhevnikova, the decision on it was made on December 27, 2017.

According to data published on the website of the election commission of the Penza region, it was commission member No. 447 Golfia Kozhevnikova, who had been recommended to the commission by a meeting of voters at the place of residence.
