Penza, 15 January 2018. PenzaNews. Vladimir Podobed, chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Industry of the Penza region, became one of 259 authorized representatives of Vladimir Putin, candidate for the post of President of the Russian Federation.

The decision on their registration was made by the central election commission of Russia on Friday, January 12.

The list of authorized representatives also includes cardiovascular surgeon Leo Bokeria, musicians Igor Krutoi, Igor Butman, Polina Gagarina, lawyer Anatoly Kucherna, RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan, TV presenter Leonid Yakubovich, director Karen Shachnazarov and other famous people.

Commenting on his new status to PenzaNews, Vladimir Podobed said that he had not received the certificate of a representative of an established standard form yet.

According to him, the formation of the list of representatives is planned to be finished by the end of January, so it is possible that it will include other Penza residents.

"I know that a few more candidates were considered," the interlocutor said without naming surnames.

Vladimir Podobed also explained that he had not submitted documents for inclusion in the list of authorized representatives and his candidacy had been recommended by several structures at once.
