Penza, 18 March 2018. PenzaNews. As of Sunday, 18.00, the attendance of voters at the Russian Presidential elections in the Penza region amounted to 65.65%. This was reported by a representative of the regional election commission.

According to him, 695,246 people voted.

He reminded that voter turnout in the Penza region at 10.00 was 11.91%, at 12.00 - 32.5%, at 15.00 - 53.51%.

"At previous elections of the President of Russia six years ago the rate of vote turnover in the Penza region at 18.00 was lower than at the same time this year and amounted to 59.19%," the interlocutor gave the data.

He added that last time on voting day, March 4, 2012, the voter turnout in the region amounted to 68.13% and 65.34% in Russia as a whole.

Polling stations in the Penza region will close at 20.00.

The elections will be considered valid at any attendance of citizens eligible to vote because there is no minimum voter turnout requirement.
