Preliminary results of Russian presidential elections in Penza region become known

Penza, 19 March 2018. PenzaNews. The preliminary results of the Russian presidential elections in the Penza region became known after processing 100% of protocols of precinct election commissions.

Current head of state Vladimir Putin, who occupied the leading position since the start of vote counting, became an unconditional winner.
According to the latest data received by a PenzaNews journalist in the regional election commission, 79.98% of voters who came to polling stations of the Penza region on Sunday, March 18 voted for him.
The second place was occupied by Pavel Grudinin (Communist Party) with 9.98%, the third one – by Vladimir Zhirinovsky (LDPR) with 5.6%.
Ksenia Sobchak (Civil Initiative) received in the Penza region only 1.16%.
The other four candidates aspiring to the highest state office received less than one percent: Maxim Suraykin (Communists of Russia) – 0.72%, Grigory Yavlinsky (Yabloko) – 0.6%, Sergei Baburin (Russian All-People's Union) – 0.59%, Boris Titov (Party of Growth) – 0.52%.
The voter turnout at the Russian presidential elections in the Penza region amounted to 73.75%.
