Protesters were holding banners reading "Your elections are mockery!", "Your elections are circus!" "We do not recognize such clownery!", "Penza region is a territory of total falsification". They were also holding flags of Left Front, the regional department of which was the organizer of the public event.

Sergei Padalkin, coordinator of the movement in the Volga Federal District, was the first to turn to those present. He drew attention to high turnout for the elections and a large number of voters who voted using mobile boxes.

"There were cameras and ballot paper processing systems at polling stations – it was difficult to throw in. They organized in-home voting; they visited voters with mobile ballot boxes. Here is the result: in the Nizhnelomovsky area 26,000 people voted at the elections, and 5,125 of them voted at home. Is it possible?" he asked.

Sergei Padalkin added that "the situation with the turnout is unthinkable", in particular, in the Shemysheysky area of the Penza region it reached almost 100%.

The Left Front representative also expressed the opinion that the finished election campaign had not been a fair competition because the opposition was not allowed to hang banners, its stickers were torn off, and activists were detained.

Representatives of Communist Party, Komsomol, Alexei Navalny's headquarters, National-patriotic forces of Russia and civil activists also expressed their opinion about the presidential elections. They mainly spoke about the violations they personally faced at polling stations on March 18.

An elderly drunk man, who was passing by, did not miss the opportunity to speak into a microphone and made it clear to the audience that he was generally dissatisfied with the state of affairs around.

After he began to repeat the same thoughts several times, not letting others speak, the protesters were forced to seek the assistance of police on duty in the square. In the end, the police officers took the pensioner away from the venue. The man did not deny that he had drunk a bit before going outside.

In total, the rally, which united about 40 people, lasted slightly more than half an hour.

Sergei Padalkin gave the final speech assuming that the official election results do not fully reflect the will of citizens.

"Every election this government gets unrealistically high results. Do you remember that head of the Penza region Ivan Belozertsev was supported by 86% of voters at previous gubernatorial elections? But I have a big question – will the governor manage to keep his post until the end of the term? I am sure he will not remain governor for the next period.
