Penza government thinks about brand of region again

Penza, 21 May 2018. PenzaNews. The development and promotion of an integrated brand of the Penza region became the main theme of the meeting of Governor Ivan Belozertsev with the president of the communication group Insiders, Andrei Lapshov, held in the regional government.

"We are trying to promote the region, to generalize the material, go to the federal level. We have launched a new website available in other languages – English, German, Chinese. We would like people to learn more about the life of the region, its culture and history," Ivan Belozertsev explained.

In turn, Andrei Lapshov noted that the company had been actively engaged in the branding of regions for two years.
"As far as Penza is concerned, I am ready to do work on this project to the full," he said.

Andrei Stas, managing partner of the Stas Marketing group, who also participated in the business meeting, informed Ivan Belozertsev about implemented projects for the development of the brands of Murmansk and the Ulyanovsk region.

As it was reported by the press service of the regional government, at the end of the meeting Ivan Belozertsev expressed his intention to consider the proposals about the creation of the brand of the Penza region in detail.

The theme of the development of the brand of the Penza region had already been actively discussed in the region.

The strategy of establishment and promotion of the brand of the Penza region was prepared under the previous governor Vasily Bochkarev. In March 2013, it was presented by Alexei Ilika occupying at that moment the post of the minister of public relations and mass communications of the region.

This concept received a mixed assessment from the public. For example, 43 representatives of the territorial branding sector of Russia and CIS countries sent an open letter to Vasily Bochkarev pointing out weaknesses of the strategy and expressing the wish that "the projects on territorial branding should be open, technological, ideological and successful".
