Penza, 28 November 2018. PenzaNews. The Left Front announced the second rally for the resignation of Penza region governor Ivan Belozertsev. It is planned to be held on Sunday, December 16.

The place and time of the protest campaign are still unknown.

"We are convinced that the regional authorities have no clear agenda and programmes to improve the situation [in the Penza region]. Instead of solving real problems of the inhabitants, the governor and his colleagues are occupied with conflicts with opposition and civil society, which they do not want to establish dialogue with," the message spread by the press-service of regional department of the Left Front states.

It is added that the process of collecting signatures for the resignation of Ivan Belozertsev, which started in August, will be activated next week.

"We plan to hold one-person protests with a cardboard figure of the governor in places of mass gathering of people regularly so that the residents had an opportunity to put a signature," the text explains.

As it was reported before, the first rally in support of Ivan Belozertsev's resignation from the post of the Penza region governor was held near the entrance to Komsomolsky park in Penza on November 25. The protest event brought together about 80 people.

The organizer of the meeting was also the Left Front.
