Interview with Belozertsev released in federal media in advance of rally for his resignation

Penza, 16 December 2018. PenzaNews. Two federal news agencies at the same time – RIA Novosti and TASS – posted an interview with governor Ivan Belozertsev on their websites in advance of the second rally for his resignation, which is scheduled for Sunday, December 16.

On December 14, RIA Novosti published an interview on its website headed "Ivan Belozertsev: archaic character of government is inadmissible". It touches upon such issues as the development of agriculture, attraction of foreign investment, creation of territories of advanced socio-economic development as well as the openness of power. In particular, the head of the region explained why he had registered on Instagram.

"According to our assessment, the fact of having an account on Instagram is a positive work. I believe that this, of course, helps to communicate with our citizens. It is impossible to lag behind the whole world, archaic character of government is inadmissible. I think we need to communicate more through social networks," he said.

News agency TASS published on its website an article under the title "Head of Penza region: there is only one priority for me – people". In the interview Ivan Belozertsev supported the idea of naming the Penza airport after Mikhail Lermontov, spoke about his plans to purchase software to identify aggressive-minded youth, about measures to support motherhood and childhood. In addition, the topic of defrauded construction investors and some others were touched upon.

According to the press service of the Penza region, on December 14 Ivan Belozertsev also gave an interview to a representative of the publishing house Kommersant but it was not published yet.
