Penza, 6 March 2019. PenzaNews. The Penza region, which had left the group of regions with maximum stability almost two years ago, was again included in it. This is evidenced by the results of the rating of the foundation "Peterburgskaya politika" as of February 2019.

According to the presented data, the positions of the region increased by 0.1 points – from 7.9 to 8.

At the same time, even a minimal growth allowed the Penza region to move from the category of regions with high social and political stability to the rank of those having the maximum stability.

Basically, this result was achieved thanks to the agreements reached at the Russian Investment Forum (RIF) in Sochi.

According to analysts, a positive impact on the rating of the region was achieved due to the following events: a agreement with Damate Group on construction of a plant for the production of kosher products and canned Turkey, a protocol of intent for mutual cooperation with Cherkizovo Group, as well as a document on strategic partnership with Otkritie Bank.

In addition, the agreement with Chinese COFCO Group on participation in the project on deep processing of wheat played a positive role.

In addition, the experts also considered the memorandum of cooperation between the regional government, JSC KamAZ and the Foundation of Company Town Development, as well as the approval of the roadmap for the creation of an industrial park at the premises of JSC Serdobsk Machine-Building Plant.

Another event that influenced the stability of the region was the increase in the monthly payment to veterans of labour of the Penza region from 300 to 500 roubles, as well as similar measures taken in respect of a number of other privileged categories of citizens.

Negative factors mentioned in the rating were holding of a congress of the public organization Association of Carriers of Russia in the Kuznetsk region, where distrust of the President of the country and the government of the Russian Federation was expressed.

Also a negative role was played by the fall of the Penza region in the ranking of team sports.
