Governor Ivan Belozertsev held a meeting with Vyacheslav Timchenko, chairman of the Committee on Regulating and Organizing Parliament Activity under the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, head of the Volga Interregional Coordination Council of the United Russia party, who had a business trip to the Penza region.

During the meeting in the regional government on Thursday, July 11, the parties discussed the socio-economic development of the region. Vyacheslav Timchenko praised the implementation of the national project Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment in Penza.

The head of the region noted that improvement of urban space had been carried out for many years.

"We have allocated for 15 years for the development of yard territories in the regional centre for 15 years. The money is allocated in certain electoral districts under regional programmes and those initiated by deputies. Deputies work in collaboration with heads of the districts. They organize meetings with local residents in yards and decide together what kind of work should be done: where a playground should be installed, where a parking lot should be equipped," the press service of the Penza region government quotes Ivan Belozertsev.
