"Deputy Vdonin has been detained in Penza region today. He is a member of our faction in the Legislative Assembly. Drunk, he drove a car, putting other people in danger. Besides, he had a forged ID of the employee of the Prosecutor's Office. Thanks to the vigilance of law enforcement officers and their rapid response it was possible to avoid a tragedy. Such behaviour is immoral and unacceptable. Vdonin will be expelled from the party and removed from our faction," he said.

The member of United Russia added that he would take personal control of the issue.

"I would like to remind all my colleagues once again, regardless of their position and party load: our task is to serve people. Those who do not understand this should be engaged in another work. Whoever crosses the line of the law will answer to the fullest extent," United Russia's press service quotes Evgeny Revenko.
