Penza, 29 March 2021. PenzaNews. Nikolai Simonov will continue serving as the chairman of the Penza region government. This was announced by acting governor Oleg Melnichenko when he announced his first personnel decisions as head of the region during an action meeting at the regional government on Monday morning, March 29.

“At the beginning of the action meeting, I want to inform you about the decisions that were taken yesterday during the exchange of expert opinions with a number of members of the government,” he said, addressing those present.

Oleg Melnichenko added that further staffing decisions would be made based on an analysis of each employee's performance data.

“I would like to ask Nikolai Petrovich Simonov to act as chairman of the government. [...] He is a professional person, he passed through the hard school of life, he ran an industrial enterprise, and this is worth a lot,” said the acting governor.
