Penza region governor elections: Melnichenko – 72.85%, Shalyapin – 11.99%

Penza, 20 September 2021. PenzaNews. Acting Penza region governor Oleg Melnichenko (United Russia) leads in the early elections of the head of the region, getting 72.85% of the votes after processing 78.63% of precinct election commission protocols.

The regional election commission told PenzaNews that Oleg Shalyapin (CPRF) got 11.99%, Alexei Shpagin (A Just Russia – For Truth) – 5.69%, Alexander Vasilyev (LDPR) – 5.6%, and Pyotr Chugai (Party of Pensioners) – 2.28%.

Oleg Melnichenko became acting governor of Penza region on March 26, 2021.
