Penza, 22 November 2015. PenzaNews. The Orthodox Christian youth community of the Penza region has joined the countrywide campaign called “Week for Life – the Mikhailovsky Days.”

On Saturday, November 21, the activists went outdoors to tell the passers-by on Moskovskaya street about the abortion issue.

They were giving out leaflets with information about marriage and consequences of making an abortion.

Moreover, the campaigners also told Penza citizens about the official stance of the Russian Orthodox Church on abortions that calls for revoking this as a free service for all Russian citizens under the obligatory insurance system.

They also gathered signatures for a pro-life paper that will be transmitted to the patriarchal committee on maternity and childhood protection and family affairs, says the press service of the Penza diocese.
