Penza sends humanitarian aid to Northern Donetsk diocese

Penza, 4 January 2016. PenzaNews. The congregation of the Penza city Pokrovsky Cathedral sent a cargo of humanitarian aid to the diocese of the Northern Donesk.

Assisted by the hegumen of the cathedral, Archpriest Joannes Yavorsky, they spent a month collecting the food, warm clothing and medicaments for donation.

The humanitarian aid shipment was sent last Sunday, on January 3, with the blessing from the Archbishop Serafim of Penza and Nizhny Novgorod.

All items in the shipment will be donated to Orthodox Christians in need, the press service of the Penza diocese informed PenzaNews agency.
