The ceremony will be conducted by the Archbishop Serafim of Penza and Nizhny Novgorod, the Bishop Mitrofan of Serdobsk and Spassk, and the Bishop Nestor of Kuznetsk and Nikolsk.

The vespers will be preceded by a crucession of church-goers from different parishers, who will walk from the Vvedensky church, the Pokrov Archbishop Cathedral and the Mitrofanovsk Church towards the Cathedral at 15.00.

The Easter Vespers will be conducted under the chorals by the joint choir of the Penza diocese and the Children’s Archbishop Choir.

An Orthodox Easter fair will open by the under-construction building of the Spassky Cathedral. The fair will give citizens an opportunity to obtain souvenirs for the Easter and freshly-baked goods of the holiday.

After the Easter Vespers, those 18 and over will be invited to visit the Spassky Cathedral belfry, says the press service of the Penza diocese.
