The donation amount is set at 50 rubles with no additional interest taken by service providers.
As PenzaNews reported earlier, the Penza region governor Ivan Belozertsev is personally monitoring the construction of the Spassky cathedral.
On Thursday, June 30, he held an outdoors meeting at the construction site, where the officials reported that the process is currently at the exterior plastering stage, which is due to complete by the autumn.
Moreover, the construction workers plan to install heating in the cathedral, and therefore need donations for the materials and equipment.
During the outdoors meeting, Ivan Belozertsev placed particular attention to improvement of the adjacent territories and the architectural exterior of the Spassky cathedral.
According to the governor, the issues that must be solved right now are related to paving blocks on the cathedral square and the lightening system around.
He stressed that succeeding on the task in time requires joint effort from authorities, businesses, diocese and community, and suggested to ask renown Penza-born people to contribute. Ivan Belozertsev instructed the subordinates to analyze the potential for such cooperation with Russian artists and invite them for charity concerts on free-of-charge stages.
