Photo exhibition for millennium of Russian monasticism on Mount Athos to open in Penza

Penza, 10 August 2016. PenzaNews. Photo exhibition dedicated to the millennium of the presence of Russian monasticism on Mount Athos, will be opened in the Penza governor's house on Saturday, August 13.

The exhibition features photographs taken during the visit of Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Athos, vintage pictures of Russian St. Panteleimon monastery and pilgrimage of Penza residents on the holy mountain.

In addition, the exhibition presents pictures portraying the Greek saints, painted by the students of “Journey to Mount Athos” children's Orthodox camp, the press service of the Penza diocese informs.
