Penza, 11 September 2016. PenzaNews. Preparations for the third open festival of Orthodox Culture “Spasskie Vechera” dedicated to the revival of the Saviour Cathedral, started in Penza.

It is expected that the event will be held in the form of folk festivals of the XIX century on the territory of the temple and the adjoining Lermontov park on Saturday, September 24.

“The guests will have an opportunity to visit their favorite fair with pastries and souvenirs, photo shop, a concert and a creative grounds, as well as charity events,” the press service of the Penza diocese informs.

It is planned that the experience of previous festivals will make the event more memorable.

Orthodox Culture Festival “Spasskie Vechera” was first held in Penza on September 26, 2015. Then, they managed to raise over 416 thousand rubles to continue the construction of the Saviour Cathedral.

The second event took place on January 16, 2016, the amount of donations exceeded 320 thousand rubles.
