Kuznetsk, 7 May 2017. PenzaNews. The Bishop Nestor of Kuznetsk and Nikolsk consecrated the upper temple in honour of Nicholas the Wonderworker located in western area of Kuznetsk of the Penza region on Saturday, May 6.

Following ecclesiastic canons, communion and credence tables were installed, robed, underwent ablushion and anointing. The walls of the cathedral were sanctified.

The cross procession with holy relics, their putting in antimension and communion table as well as the first liturgy in the consecrated temple was headed by the Archbishop Seraphim of Penza and Nizhnelomovsk.

When the service was over, bishops and honoured guests congratulated church members on the significant event. Everyone who took part in the establishment of the cathedral was awarded in a solemn atmosphere.

In particular, the Order of Saint Seraphim of Sarov of 3rd degree was conferred to the general director of the LLC "Megastroika", the deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region Vladimir Kirillov.

The order of Saint Euphrosyne was conferred to the deputy of the Kuznetsk meeting of representatives, the press service of the Kuznetsk diocese informs.
