Penza, 30 May 2011. PenzaNews. The Deputies of the Penza State Duma decreased the extra charge of the water tariff for 2012 up to 50%. It became possible because of the prolongation of the investment development program of "Gorvodokanal" until 2016. The decision was made during the regular session which took place last Friday, on May, 27.

The Mayor Ivan Belozertsev making comments on the decision of the deputies noticed that it was an important decision for the citizens initiated by the deputies — members of fraction "United Russia".

Ivan Belozertsev said: "We consider that it's essential not to allow the growth of municipal tariffs, as it is in the competence of the State Duma".

In 2009 the deputies of the Penza State Duma accepted the investment development program of "Gorvodokanal". Its realization gives a possibility to increase the quality of water and to use water and power resources rationally; it gives also a chance to decrease the expenses of water supply services by means of reducing the non-productive expenses.
