Penza Residents transfer 22 thousand rubles to the Japanese Red Cross

Penza, 23 June 2011. PenzaNews. 22 thousand rubles collected within the action "A thousand cranes" was transferred to the Japanese Red Cross for the aid to children injured after the earthquake and accidents, occurred on the atomic power station "Fukushima-1".

The executive chief of the fund "Civil Union" Oleg Sharipkov said "Within the action some exhibitions of artworks of Japanese schoolboys were hold in Penza and Zarechny. The Penza Regional Art Gallery named after K.A. Savitsky, the Penza branch of the International independent university of Ecology and Politics, the museum-salon of art in Zarechny and the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region helped to organize the exhibitions".

Oleg Sharipkov added that the ceremony of summarizing of the action "A thousand cranes" would take place at the Regional Art Gallery on June, 1st, certificates of the International fund of the world and education of Japan would be handed over philanthropists.

Earlier the news agency "PenzaNews" informed, within the limits of the action 35 thousand rubles was collected in April. Besides, the fund "Civil Union" sent 100 children's drawings to the regional charity fund "Samarskaya guberniya".
