Tiger cub from Penza transferred to Koreans in Seoul officially

Penza, 24 June 2011. PenzaNews. The ceremony of transfer of two Amur tigers one of which is the native of the Penza zoo happened in the capital zoo of Seoul on last Thursday, June, 23rd. The decision of transfer of the animals in gift to South Korea was made by the chairman of the government of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in 2010.

According to the Russian mass-media, the male cub called Rostov and the female cub Penza arrived to Seoul on May, 24th.

Li Von He, the general director of the Seoul zoo said: "The tiger cubs feel well, their health is normal. They adapted for a local climate and food. The tiger cub called Penza ate nothing during the first three days after the arrival because of anxiety and adaptive process".

Earlier the news agency "PenzaNews" informed, the Penza pair of tigers called Isatora and Konstantsiya had only one cub of three — the female one called Taiga which would go to Grodno in summer.
