Penza, 4 July 2011. PenzaNews. 75 years since the establishment of Traffic Police of the Penza region was celebrated on Sunday, July 3. The regional Head of Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Major-General of Police Alexander Kasimkin congratulated the staff and noted the great contribution of the division in ensuring of the road safety.

According to the press-service of Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Penza region, the governor Vasily Bochkarev presented the letters of gratitude to the chief of traffic police Sergei Buylov and to several other members of service. Then the keys of new cars were awarded to the service.

The traffic police became 14 new vehicles, including «Ford Mondeo», «Ford Focus», «Chevrolet Niva» and "VAZ-2114".

For the first six months of 2011 the traffic police identified more than 200 thousand traffic violations. There were delayed more than 4.5 thousand drivers for driving under alcohol and drugs. 5 thousand violations related to the loss of the right vehicle were stopped, 182 crimes were revealed, including 13 serious and very serious.
