Penza, 11 July 2011. PenzaNews. The Penza region took the 15th line of the ecological rating of the subjects of the Russian Federation made by all-Russian public organization "Green patrol" in accordance with data for July, 2011. In comparison with the last month, the region increased by 5 positions.

The rating was formed on the basis of the materials which had an expert mark of various sources, including the mass media, the authorities, public and expert organizations, managing subjects, initiative groups of citizens.

The mark is defined by 15 indicators which cover three basic spheres of monitoring in regions of the Russian Federation: ecosphere — environmental protection; sociosphere — protection and improvement of habitat, health of the person; a technosphere — a condition and development of the industry taking into account requirements of ecological safety.

The press-service of the government of the Penza region informs that according to the rating of All-Russia society of nature protection for June, 2011, the state of environment in the area improved by 2 points.
