Penza, 18 July 2011. PenzaNews. More than 1.1 thousand residents of the Penza region suffered from an attack of pincers from the beginning of 2011. For the similar period of last year 743 persons were bitten.

The press-service of the department of Federal Service for Supervision over Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare in the Penza region said: "During the last week 76 victims come to medical and preventive treatment institution of the region, there were15 under 14 age".

20 insects were removed from people and one had Borrelia.

The press-service said: "50 local residents suffered from pincers on Olympiiskaya alleya in Penza. During the last week two persons became the victims of pincers.
