Penza, 21 July 2011. PenzaNews. Regional competition of professional skills among masons started in Penza on Thursday, July, 21st.

14 brigades of four persons the representatives of nine building organizations take part in competitions. During the day the masons should construct the half third floor of the future 10-storeyed building for orphans which is erected in the street Klara Tsetkin.

According to the pro-rector of the Penza state university of architecture and building Alexander Eremkin, the competition is dated for the 55 anniversary of Day of builder.

The governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev said: "Recently the prestige of a blue-collar occupation has considerably decreased, the youth goes to higher educational institutions where they don't always get good education. Thus the region economy loses a basis of development of the state — highly skilled hands".

He informed that they intend to carry out a great competition of professional skills among representatives of various industries, agriculture and housing and communal services in the region and underlined that the competition of masons can become good training and gives the possibility to try forces before bigger forthcoming competition.

The governor said: "Thanks you that you agreed to take part in competition. I wish you successes, health and high salaries".

Alexander Eremkin informed that the best brigade will get 20 thousand rubles as a reward.

Alexander Eremkin said: "A brigade of the masons which take the second place will get 16 thousand rubles. The third one will get 12 thousand rubles. Very soon there will be hold competitions for plasterers and tilers".
