Defenders of animals intend to condemn the owner of the Penza circus tent

Penza, 25 July 2011. PenzaNews. Defenders of animals intend to inform Office of Public Prosecutor about the fact of cruel attitude to a lioness Tonna belonging to Penza circus tent. The animal spent two days in a stuffy minibus on prospect Liteynsky in St.-Petersburg.

According to Russian mass-media, the troupe from Penza arrived to the Northern capital on tour, however, as owners of a minibus explained, the lioness was not allowed to stay in the hotel.

When the law enforcement officers arrived at the site the guest performers didn't give any documents of right of possession of the animals, having explained that the owner of circus had gone to the home city.

On Saturday Tonna was moved to Mariinsky hospital and on Sunday the lioness will be transported to a shelter for animals in Big Smolensky prospect where she will wait for the arrival of the owner with documents.
