Penza, 28 July 2011. PenzaNews. Office of Public Prosecutor of the Penza region revealed more than 240 infringements of the rights of invalids, aged and other socially unprotected categories of citizens and directed 110 statements of claim to the courts in the first half of 2011.

According to Tatyana Ostrovskaya the senior assistant to the public prosecutor of the Penza region, many facts of absence of an unhindered access for invalids to such objects of social infrastructure as administrations, municipal authorities and the other organizations were revealed.

Tatyana Ostrovskaya said: "Special wheelchair ramps or easy grades for people with dysfunction of locomotorium are not provided".

Tatyana Ostrovskaya added: "Besides, the facts of refusals in employment of invalids because of absence of vacancies with easy working conditions and also absence of parking lots for special vehicles of invalids were revealed after investigations".

The orders of elimination of infringements were sent to the heads of municipal unions and heads of the organizations and guilty persons were brought to disciplinary responsibility.
