Penza, 29 July 2011. PenzaNews. The first foundation stone of the future technopark was put in the street Central in Penza on July, 29th.

The head of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev said: "Tchnoparks proved to be our future. Today nanotech industry is the most perspective branch of science and high technology industries".

He underlined that consecutive work on development of the regional innovative system directed on the decision of constructing innovative economy is carried out in the region.

Vasily Bochkarev said: "Manufacturing of hi-tech medical products is organized. So, for example, enterprise "MedInzh" takes more than 60% of the Russian market of heart valves. New technopark becomes the center of medical cluster which will allow creating favorable conditions for working out and introduction of domestic hi-tech production".

According Denis Abramov from the press-service of the government of the Penza region, technopark will be erected at the expense of federal and regional budgets.

He said: "Total cost of realization of the project is more than 2.5 billion roubles. Setting into operation of the first stage of object is planned to be in 2012".

Business incubator, workshop for the beginning innovative companies will be provided in technopark. Companies having projects at the stage of commercialization can rent office, laboratory-industrial premises equipped with the hi-tech equipment. The engineering infrastructure will be also created, providing low cost utilities to the residents.

It is planned that by 2014 the total gain of residents of technopark will be 2 billion rubles. Near about 70 residents will be in technopark and 1500 workplaces for highly-skilled professional will be created there. Several billion rubles per year will be saved because of import substitution.
