Number of crimes registered this year decreased twice for 5 years

Penza, 29 July 2011. PenzaNews. The total number of the crimes registered in the Penza region this year decreased since 2006.

According to the chief of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs the major general of police Alexander Kasimkin, almost 35 thousand crimes were registered in the Penza region and this indicator decreased regularly.

He said: "In 2010 there were 17000 crimes. Near about 8 thousand crimes were registered for the first half of 2011".

Alexander Kasimkin underlined: "According to crime rate for 100 thousand people, the Penza region takes the second place in Volga federal district and is included in top ten districts in Russia. I consider it as the main indicator of our work".
