Penza, 1 August 2011. PenzaNews. Emergency meeting concerning liquidation of consequences of the hurricane which happened in the Penza region on Friday, July, 29th, took place in the region government on Monday, August, 1st.

According to the assistant of the representative of the government Nikolay Ashcheulov, as the result of hurricane 24 thousand houses in 7 areas, or nearly so 65 thousand persons were disconnected from electrical supply.

19 private houses in Penza and some houses in the areas of the Penza region are still disconnected.

Governor Vasily Bochkarev declared that such situation is inadmissible and noted the negligent attitude of the management of the power companies to liquidation of consequences of an emergency situation.

The head of region said: "I speak on behalf of residents of the Penza region — during the weekends I didn't see any serious work on restoration of electric lines and sanitary cleaning of the tumbled trees".

According to the assistant of the head of administration of Penza Michael Panjuhin, in spite of the fact that the emergency response center generated by officials began to work immediately on day of failures, there were not enough quantity of brigades to fix electrical lines.

Vasily Bochkarev gave a commission to hold session of the extreme commission in which course to state a mark to actions of all electricians with the subsequent conclusions.

The head of region said: "It is necessary to work at the list of staff and automotive vehicles of our electricians. Salary of heads in the given sphere is three times higher, than the governor has, however, they don't work more. Instead of spending money collected from the population as tariffs, for security service, it is necessary to put financial assets to new wires, workers and technics".

Besides, the governor ordered to make the employees of the industrial enterprises and trade sphere in Penza to take off tumbled down trees in the city.
