Penza, 4 August 2011. PenzaNews. The head of the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Penza the colonel of police Igor Norkin hold the first press conference on a new post on Thursday, on August, 4th, and pointed out the main tasks of his work. Igor Norkin said: "First of all we should create a new image of the police officer to which the citizens can trust. It will be possible only if he is incorruptible and ready to come to the rescue any time".

The second problem is strengthening citizens’ protection and law enforcement. Round-the-clock video observation allowing to react to the incidents immediately was mounted in many streets of Penza now.

Igor Norkin said: "Supervision is organized from 62 videocameras now. Till the end of 2011 it is planned to mount 38 cameras".

He underlined that the records allowed to solve hundreds of administrative infringements and 5 criminal cases in the first half of the year, such as murder on a porch of an entertaining center.

Igor Norkin added also that for fast reaction to calls arriving in a call center all cars of police will be connected to system of navigation GLONASS.

"It will allow to send on a scene of those employees which can arrive to it to the most shortest terms", — he has told.

The third primary goal of the work of the head of department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Penza is succession.

Igor Norkin said: "The number of the registered crimes reduced constantly and solveing of the cases grew regularly in our city. I consider that one of the main problems is to continue this positive tendency".
