Adaptable camp for children-orphans was opened in the Penza region

Penza, 8 August 2011. PenzaNews. Opening of adaptable camp for children-orphans "Yellow submarine" took place in village Lerontovo of the Penza region on Monday, August, 8th.

Maria L'vova-Belova the director of Penza regional public organization "Blagovest": "Children's home is very similar to the submarine: the closed space and strict hierarchy. Assistance in socialization of orphans and preparation for adult life became the purpose of the camp. During the term children can have eight author's courses. They will be told how to cook cheap dinner and render the first medical aid correctly, how to solve conflict situation".

As she said, such project is realized for the first time on the territory of the Penza region, however organizers plan to make its annual.

She said: "This year the theme of the camp term is "Hero of our time". Every day children will learn about life of known Russian literary and historic figures such as M.V. Lomonosov, Peter and Fevronija, Admiral Feodor Ushakov and others. We want children understand that each of them can become a hero, having overcome difficulties of orphanhood".

As she said, one of problems is popularization of a military trade, acquaintance with military ranks and sea terminology therefore accent will be made on patriotic education.

There are 23 children in total, 4 children from large families and 19 children-orphans, including three children-invalids. The term will finish on August, 18th.
