In Penza the fifth part of tests of potable water does not satisfy hygienic standards

Penza, 15 August 2011. PenzaNews. Relative density of tests of the potable water which doesn't satisfy hygienic standards of sanitary-chemical indicators of the first half of 2011 increased from 14.4 % to 19.6 % in comparison with the same period of 2010.

The press-service of the department of Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare in the Penza region said: "Excess of norms of iron content in potable water in 1.5–2 times was revealed in several areas of Penza — in streets Tambovskaya, Gastello, Rostovskaya, Pavlushkina, Sverdlova, Eric, Austrina and Karpinskaya. It is caused by worn-out state of water supply systems".

Relative density of the tests which doesn't satisfy hygienic standards of microbiological indicators decreased from 5.6 % in the first half of 2010 to 2 % for the same period of 2011.

According to the press-service of the department, considering the situation with quality of potable water in the summer of 2010, the decision of questions of development and reconstruction of system of drinking water supply of Penza with introduction of new technologies of clearing and additional cleaning of potable water, maintenance service of existing networks and waterpipe constructions, and also effective utilization of reagents and coagulants of existing treatment facilities of waterpipe is necessary.

The press-service said: "Questions of introduction of new technologies of clearing and additional cleaning of water of LLC "Gorvodokanal" weren't solved until now. Building of water supply systems is carried out slowly. From the beginning of 2011 the enterprise changed only 2.5 km of networks".

Questions of providing population with potable water of appropriate quality in settlement Lesnoy were not solved: water moves with excess of hygienic norms of iron content, therefore potable imported water is used.
