Two children took an infection of HIV infected in the Penza region in the first half of this year

Penza, 18 August 2011. PenzaNews. Two cases of HIV infection of children were revealed in the city Kuznetsk of the Penza region for the first half of 2011. According to the president of fund "Anti AIDS" Sergey Olejnik, one of the reasons of diseases is the absence of preventive programs among consumers of drugs.

Sergey Olejnik said: "One mum gave birth to the infected child because she did go to female consultation and didn't get preventive treatment and another woman gave birth to the healthy child and she infected him later wile providing medical care to him".

He said that the last case demands attention of the Office of Public Prosecutor of the Penza region.
