Priest from the Penza region became the prior of a temple of Baltic fleet

Penza, 29 August 2011. PenzaNews. The cleric from Zarechny of the Penza region, the sailor Alexander Eroshin became the prior of the orthodox temple named after the holy soldier Feodor Ushakov which was opened in the union of rocket boats of Baltic naval base.

According to the group of information support of the Baltic fleet, 25-year-old father Alexander made the decision to continue orthodox tradition and to serve his Motherland and to serve in the army.

When he took the oath he was sent to the rocket boat Р-187 sponsored by the city Zarechny. Alexander Eroshin serves as the helmsman - signalman.

The source in the press-service said: "For the first time in the history of Russian navy fleet the prior of the orthodox temple serve in the navy as the sailor-guardsman. During his free time Alexander Eroshin will change his cloth and conduct the religious service in a rank of father Alexander in the temple of Baltic fleet".
