Penza, 6 September 2011. PenzaNews. More than 13 thousand doses inactivated poliomyelitis vaccines "Polioriks" were supplied to the Penza region as a part of national program of preventive injections.

The press-service of the regional Ministry of health and social development said: "The given vaccine is for vaccination of children under 1 year old. The vaccine was distributed to medical institutions of the region".

Besides, 14 640 doses of partitis-measles vaccines for vaccination and revaccination of children were also bought at the expense of means of the federal budget.

The press-service said: "The vaccination is a part of preventive measures against measles and epidemic parotitis. According to the Russian vaccination calendar, the first preventive vaccination inoculations against these infections should be provided for children under 1 year old and the second one should be provided for children under 6 years old".
