Penza, 27 September 2011. PenzaNews. This week the sickness rate of respiratory virus diseases increased by 40% in the Penza region. It is at annual index level. According to the press – service of the regional government, 1979 cases of diseases were registered, a case of flu wasn't revealed.

The source of the press-service said: "High sickness rate is in Nikolsky, Lopatinsky, Neverkinsky, Spassky, Sosnovoborsky, Kameshkirsky and Zemetchinsky areas and in Kuznetsk and Penza".

598 virus diseases were registered in Penza, the sickness rate is 115,6. There are 6 cases of disease per 100 thousand people. That is 58.6% more than the index of the previous week but less than threshold level by 98.2%.
