Penza, 28 September 2011. PenzaNews. Only 9 taxi companies applied for registration in the department of industry, transport and power of Penza region in September. According to the department, now there are about 3 thousand taxi drivers on the territory of the region.

As the news agency "PenzaNews" informed earlier, according to the Law №69-FZ "Modification of separate acts of the Russian Federation", and also the law of Penza region №2083 from June, 30th, 2011 "About the organization of transportation of passengers and luggage by taxi on the territory of Penza region", since September, 1st, 2011 all taxi drivers and taxi companies are obliged to have a special permission for providing transportation of passengers and luggage by an automobile vehicle.

On Wednesday, September, 28th the head of the department Yury Bykov said in his blog of "LiveJournal": "However the transportation companies don’t apply for permissions eagerly. But they should consider that sooner or later the permission is necessary. Since January, 1st, 2012 all carriers will be brought for administrative responsibility for the infringements of these requirements".

Yury Bykov has reminded that to get the permission it is necessary for an individual businessman or a legal body to send all documents and an application for registration to the department of industry, transport and power of Penza region or to the multipurpose centres of granting of the state and municipal services.

The head of department said: "Actually there are some problems and current questions which are not regulated by the law but they should be solved. That’s why I’d like to hear the opinions and offers of those whom the law concerns for interaction with the representatives of business and government to make some changes in the regional law".
