Penza, 5 October 2011. PenzaNews. The solemn ceremony devoted to Teacher's Day took place at the Penza regional Drama Theater named after A.V. Lunacharsky on Wednesday, October, 5th.

Governor Vasily Bochkarev, the chairman of Legislative Assembly of the region Alexander Guljakov, the Minister of Education Svetlana Kopeshkina, and also the best teachers from all areas of the Penza region took part in the ceremony.

Vasily Bochkarev said: "Teacher's Day is a fine holiday for children and parents. I want to tell the words of gratitude for your self-denying work".

According to the head of the region, the teachers direct their efforts to the children and "create the future of our country".

The governor said: "I am grateful to the president and the prime minister that they paid attention to the education sphere, and I consider it is the beginning of serious modernization".

As the news agency "PenzaNews" informed earlier, an average salary of workers of educational institutions in the Penza region of the first half of 2011 was 9 460 rubles, teachers' salary was 10 875 roubles. In September an average salary was 14 604 rubles.

Besides, young specialists of schools of the region got different kinds of state support. In 2010 208 persons received single monetary payment of 12 thousand rubles and since 2011 young teachers will get annual monetary payments of 35 thousand rubles during the first three years of work.

Vasily Bochkarev paid attention to the quality of training future specialists.

The governor said: "Education is our base. And I hope that thanks to your work in the Penza region there will be more active, creative and initiative people".

During the solemn ceremony the best teachers got diplomas and departmental awards.

The title "Honourable worker of general education of the Russian Federation" was given to the teacher from the settlement Zemetchino Olga Nikishkova, a similar title in sphere of initial vocational training was given to the teacher of school from Spassk Zoya Botkina, the title in the sphere of trade vocational education was given to the teacher from Penza professional-teacher training college Evgeniya Julenkova, in the sphere of the higher education of the Russian Federation the employee of Penza institute of development of education Tamara Onoprienko got a title.

Besides, the governor Vasily Bochkarev gave diplomas to the teacher from Kamensky area Lyudmila Jagova, to the teacher from Sosnovoborsk Angela Musina, to Svetlana Zaharchenko, the deputy director of school to № 221 of Zarechny, to Anna Kustova, the deputy director of the Penza school №69 and also to Valentina Morozova, the deputy director of cadet school №70 of Penza.
