Penza, 11 October 2011. PenzaNews. There were 6.3 thousand abortions on the territory of the Penza region during 9 months of 2011 that is 15% less than last year.

According to the press-service of the regional Ministry of health and social development of the region, it is thanks to great attention which is given to the problem of abortions.

The press-service said: "As a part of the program "Modernization of public health services of the Penza region in 2011-2012" 8 medical establishments of the region opened 9 medical-social rooms where social specialists, psychologists, lawyers work to prevent abortions".

The specialists hold consultations concerning social and psychological protection of the women who come there to get assistance concerning interruption of undesired pregnancy, make the ladies sure that it's important to have a baby and then help the family during pregnancy period, rendering them the social and psychological help.
