Penza, 11 October 2011. PenzaNews. More than 2.9 billion rubles were spent on social support of the residents of the Penza region for 9 months of 2011. It is 588 million rubles more than for the similar period of the last year.

The press-service of Ministry of health and social development of the Penza region said: "Financial assets were spent on grants to the families who have children (1 billion 53.4 million rubles), social support to veterans of labor, home front worker, rehabilitated persons and persons who suffered from political repressions (1 billion 35.6 million rubles). It was also spent on grants for payment of habitation and utilities (134.9 million roubles) and grants for payment of habitation and utilities to the citizens included in the federal register of benefit recipient (572.5 million rubles)".
