The commander of armies of the Central military district colonel general Vladimir Chirkin underlined that the modern communication system is the difficult multipurpose organism including not only numerous communication centers of different function, many thousand lines of radio, radio relay, tropospheric, wire and other kinds of communication.

Vladimir Chirkin said: "Today military communication is the major part of management of armies. Efficiency of management of armies, timeliness of adequate decisions on application of fighting means and the weapon depend on condition and functioning of the system of communications".

According to the press-service of the Central military district, the Central military district which includes the Penza region, provide more than 10 thousand specialists of communication, more than 200 of them have state awards, many of them have fighting experience.

The press-service said: "From the beginning of 2011 40 units of communication on the base chassis and over 700 units of portable communication facilities were supplied to the region. During the strategic doctrine "Center — 2011" new machines were approved".
