In Penza honored memory of suffered from political repressions

Penza, 31 October 2011. PenzaNews. Day of victims of political repressions was held in Penza on Sunday, October, 30th. Requiem was held in Pokrovsky Episcopal Cathedral then the participants of the action “Returning dead” gathered near the monument "Penance" in Moscovskaya street.

According to the head of the Penza branch of a union "Memorial" Tatyana Alferteva, there are about 20 thousand suffered from reprisals in the Penza region.

Tatyana Alferteva said: “We collect data on archives which are opened. We interrogate relatives. The books with lists of victims are printed. There are many peasants in the lists".

She added that on October, 30th names of victims of political repressions are read all over the country.
