Electrical supply may be switched-off in Penza because of heavy snowfall

Penza, 9 November 2011. PenzaNews. Electrical supply may be switched-off in the Penza region because of heavy snowfalls. LLC “МРСК Volga” – “Penzaenergo” gave a notice of it.

The press-service of the company said: “The main problem is that snow sticks to wires and equipment. That’s why there is an automatic operation of protection and, as consequence, line switched-off”.

According to service regulations of power objects, the line can't be put into operation without detection of the reason and its elimination. Maximum term of problem liquidation is 24 hours.

According to the forecasts, the snowfall will continue. Snow is also expected in the evening.
