Penza, 18 November 2011. PenzaNews. The tourist route in village Stolypino of the Saratov region, which creation was initiated by the ex-governor of the region Dmitry Ayatskov will pass mainly across the Penza region. The initiator of the project informed about it during the civil forum devoted to the reforms of Pyotr Stolypin in Saratov.
According to Dmitry Ayatskov, he discussed this initiative with the governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev.
“Saratovnews” quotes Dmitry Ayatskov “Now the tourist route will begin in Penza and 2 billion rubles will be allocated to this project”.
The ancient noble family of Pyotr Arkadevich Stolipyn is closely connected with the Penza region. In particular, Elizabeth Alekseevna Stolypina-Arsenyeva was Michael Lermontov's grandmother and the mistress of the estate in Tarhany where the great poet spent his childhood.
Pyotr Stolypin, being the chairman of the council of ministers of the Russian empire, in August, 1910 took part in Nobility Assembly in Penza. On October, 5th, 2011 the memorial board to Pyotr Stolypin was opened on this building where the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region is located nowadays.
Pyotr Stolypin met the tsar Nikolay the Second, in 1904 making during his trip on the territory of the Penza region.
Now Penza regional drama theater with assistance of Fund of studying of the heritage of Pyotr Stolypin prepares the performance devoted to the 150th anniversary of this outstanding statesman which will be celebrated in 2012.
The play was written by Moscow playwright Olga Mihaylova on the basis of correspondence of Peter Stolypin and writer Lev Tolstoy.
